![]() @ jaderive, in your case i would suggest Verifying the Game Cache, (this will scan your game files and replace if any are missing. To do this 1. Open your Steam Client 2. Find Skyrim 3 right click your mouse (push right mouse button), select properties 4 choose the third tab and then select VerifyGameCache (let it do it's thing) 5 If it finds any files missings it will let you know and the Client will reaquire them. With this official add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, journey off the coast of Morrowind, to the island of Solstheim. You can also visually determine if the files are missing by going directly to the Skyrim Directory under steam and looking at the data directory for Skyrim.esm etc. (this is why the old school modders will tell you to backup your copy of your game.). If you don't follow the uninstall directions very closely you end up with messed up INI files, and remnants in the appdata folder. Make sure you wipe out the INI files in your documents/my games/skyrim folder after you uninstall enderal. Please do follow the advice above and also navagate to your%user%/appdata/local/Skyrim folder and empty it. Once you redownload the files, open the launcher, check your options, and you should be fine. It isn´t enough to uninstall skyrim and enderal and then install skyrim only? Sometimes not. We've seen quite a few reports of missing sound files (ini) as well as the pluggin.txt file getting messed up in the appdata folder and screwing with the ESM timestamps. Just remember they use the same base game folders, and names. Easy for the installer to just skip something that should have been over written. Artrage lite full download. Doesn't happen all the time, but it happens. Verifying the game cache fixes most of it, deleting the ini files fixes most of what's left, wiping the appdata catches the last. @ simrochen, I followed installation instructions to a T for enderal and watched a video of gopha's for making a profile and did that to a T so I couoldnt have installed it any other way I was very careful about that @ dcitrigno veryfying was the first thing I thought of it came back with 25 not verified and a 2nd run came back 100% But in my frustrated clicking I clicked something and started a steam install for skyrim >_. Originally posted by:i tried it and it worked, but the guys at the start don´t speak with me. How to fix this? That's been traced to the Skyrim.ini file having the wrong paths to the correct Skyrim BSA files. The 'simple' fix is to go to your document/my games/skyrim folder; delete both.ini files, and then re-run the launcher. If that doesn't fix it let me know and I'll run through it with you.
